TIDES OF WELCOME CELEBRATE 20 YEARS OF COMMUNITY SINGING
QMF 2023
The Tides of Welcome choir celebrated their 20th anniversary of being the Queenscliff Community Choir during the 2023 Queenscliff Music Festival. Over the 20 years we have had the privilege offing lead by five fantastic choir directors: Sarah Carroll, Rose Bygrave, Tiffany Eckhardt, Andrea Robertson and Wayne Jury - all well respected and independent artist in their own right. Unfortunately Tiff could not make the festival due to illness but she was there in spirit while our current director, Wayne Jury, lead us through her songs. A special thank you to QMF for supporting us over the years and especially for their support in this endeavour of bringing all five directors back together for our anniversary. A special thanks to Rod Nicholson, Linda McCallum and David Weston for the use of the video that they captured on the day. |

UNITING CHURCH
Over one hundred people plus special guests and former Tiders attended our 20th anniversary performance at the Uniting Church in Queenscliff on September 10th 2023. We loved not only singing for the community, but especially catching up with as many former members over supper.
It was a fabulous afternoon of music, stories, laughter and food.
The concert started at 4pm, 2 sets featuring Sarah Carroll + Wayne Jury, with the Tides of Welcome.
A special thank you to the Borough of Queenscliffe for providing a community grant to assist us with this anniversary celebration.

QUEENSCLIFF MUSIC FESTIVAL 2022
After three long years, Queenscliff Music Festival was up and running for 2022. This was the first time Wayne Jury directed us at a QMF since he commenced with us as Choir Director early in 2020. It was simply amazing and quite emotional to be back on familiar grounds. The Uniting Church venue is such an amazing space to perform in and the audience really absorbed the vibe were were giving out and joined in along the way. We had quite a few new songs influenced by Wayne's extensive music background including one of his own which was pure joy in performing. Oh,....to be back!
